Compass International School Celebrates Outstanding 2026 IB Diploma Results

Compass International School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its 2026 International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme graduates. This year's cohort achieved the school's strongest IB Diploma outcomes in the past five years, reflecting the dedication, resilience and ambition of our students, alongside the unwavering support of our teachers and wider school community.

Every Student Achieves IB Success

Every student in this year's cohort successfully achieved the IB Diploma, resulting in a 100% pass rate. This exceptional achievement reflects the commitment, perseverance and academic excellence of our students, as well as the personalised support they received throughout their IB journey.

For context, the global pass rate for the May 2026 session was 82.61%, making Compass International School's achievement even more remarkable.

Achieving Excellence Beyond Expectations

The cohort achieved an average diploma score of 34.4 points, an increase of 3.6 points compared to 2025 and significantly above this year's global average of 30.88 points out of 45.

The average subject grade also rose to 5.4, an improvement of 0.5 grade points on the previous year and well above the worldwide average of 4.93.

These results reflect not only strong academic outcomes but also the determination of our students and the high-quality learning experiences that supported them throughout the programme.

Celebrating Exceptional Student Achievements

Alongside these exceptional cohort results, several students achieved remarkable individual success, demonstrating the ambition and determination that define the Class of 2026.

One in five students (20%) achieved an impressive 40 points or higher, an outstanding level of achievement by international standards.

The highest score in the cohort was an exceptional 44 points, six points higher than last year's top score.

Reflecting on her outstanding achievement, Zaira said:

"After two years of hard work and dedication, I am very proud of the results I have achieved in the IB programme. It has not only taught me the importance of organisation and time management but also the value of non-academic activities. I hope to use the skills Compass has taught me to continue my studies in university."

Zerrin, who achieved an exceptional 43 points, shared:

"Successfully completing the IB programme has taught me many lifelong skills that will be indispensable as I continue my studies at university. It has taught me to be resilient, ask for help and make the most of the resources and opportunities presented to me. I am proud of what I have achieved and excited for the many opportunities that this has opened for my future."

For Fladina, the journey was just as meaningful as the outcome:

"The IB challenged me in ways I never expected, but it also helped me grow into a more resilient, disciplined, and confident version of myself. I am grateful for the journey and excited for what's ahead."

Success Beyond Predicted Outcomes

One of the most encouraging aspects of this year's results is how many students exceeded expectations.

On average, students achieved 1.2 grades above their CAT4-generated Minimum Expected Grades (MEGs), highlighting how personalised teaching, individual support and students' determination enabled them to surpass their predicted potential.

Several students went even further, with the largest individual improvement seeing a student achieve 8 points above their MEG. Outcomes like these demonstrate how students were empowered to challenge themselves, grow in confidence and achieve beyond expectations throughout the IB Diploma Programme.
