Yes, we ask every prospective student to sit an assessment as part of our school enrolment process. This ensures we can meet your child’s learning needs and offer the right level of support. Depending on their age, your child’s assessment may include class observations and English language and writing fluency tests.We assess your child’s English because this is how our students learn and communicate, both in and outside of lessons. We offer English as an additional language (EAL) support to students who need extra help.

Do you accept all nationalities?

At BIS Hanoi, we welcome all nationalities. We’re proud of the diversity of our school community, which currently includes students, parents, and teachers from more than 30 countries.

What’s included in your tuition fees?

Our fees include lunch, uniforms, day trips, school materials, most co-curricular activities, and secondary exams (where applicable). They don’t include overnight residential trips.

How quickly do you respond to enquiries?

We aim to get back to you within 24 hours of receiving your enquiry or application (working hours, Monday to Friday).

Can my child start at any time?

Yes, we accept students all year round, places permitting. If a year group is full, we’ll add your child to our waiting list and keep you updated.

I have younger children – do siblings get priority?

Yes, we give priority to siblings of current students. For example, if there are two applicants and only one place, the child who has a sibling at our school will have priority. We also offer a 10% discount on the youngest child’s tuition fees (where a family has three or more children at our school).

WHO CAN JOIN?

BIS Hanoi is an independent, co-educational day school. We offer places all year round to children aged from 2 to 18. We’re also open to students from all backgrounds and nationalities.

After sending us your application form and supporting documents, we’ll invite your child to an age-appropriate assessment and interview. This is simply to ensure we can meet their needs and help them succeed at our school.

It’s important we’re able to meet your child’s learning needs and offer the right combination of support and challenge. An age-appropriate assessment and interview with either our Head of Primary or Secondary will ensure your child learns and grows.

All being well, you’ll receive a written offer of a place after your child’s interview and assessment. You’ll then have two weeks to accept the offer and secure your child’s place.
