PRIMARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM

At NAIS Manila, our British curriculum is enriched by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), creating a learning experience that sparks curiosity, inspires confidence, and prepares children for the future.

Through IPC, students ask big questions, make meaningful connections across subjects, and explore real-world themes that bring learning to life. Alongside strong academic foundations, children develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding needed to thrive in school and beyond.

NURTURING YOUNG MINDS

In Years 1 to 6 at NAIS Manila, the high standards and benchmarks of the English National Curriculum provide the key literacy and numeracy skills children need for success. Alongside this 'core' curriculum, we will also teach the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), a highly respected and internationally recognised programme that provides a cross-curricular, thematic structure for learning in foundation subjects.

The International Primary Curriculum is a globally recognised curriculum used in over 1,000 international schools worldwide. It is designed to develop children as curious, confident and globally minded learners. Rather than teaching subjects in isolation, the IPC uses thematic, cross-curricular units that bring learning together in meaningful ways. A single unit might combine science, history, geography, art, and international learning, helping children see the big picture and understand how knowledge connects.

A unique feature of the IPC is its focus on international mindedness. Each unit links to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), helping children connect their learning to real-world issues. This encourages students not only to understand the world, but to see themselves as active participants in it.
